Home Visitation Services
Children's Cottage Society follows all Alberta Health regulations to ensure children and families remain safe. When our Home Visitation workers provide services, all precautions are in place to ensure everyone is healthy and show no symptoms when interacting inside people's homes. Measures include personal protective equipment and pre-screening of themselves and all family members for COVID-19 as per AHS guidelines. Alternatively, workers can provide services by phone, email or through Zoom if preferred.
Children’s Cottage Society is proud to be a partner of the Calgary West Family Resource Network. We're the hub in an exciting wider initiative of several organizations providing a range of free support programs and services for families with children under the age of 18.
As part of the Family Resource Network collaboration, we offer Home Visitation Services for women who are pregnant and/or have children under the age of 6 years.
You’ll receive support with parenting skills, learn information and strategies to support optimal child development, gain skills for problem-solving, improve and fortify family relationships and build strengths to reach your goals. A Home Visitor will assess your child and help you identify your family’s needs and objectives, then meet weekly with you, all in the convenience of your home. We can also connect you to community resources when required.
If you are looking for resources and support around parenting and child development, counselling for you and your family, and making connections within your community - WE ARE HERE!
At the Family Resource Network we are committed to fostering healthy families, and supporting communities. Contact us to learn more about our service and discuss if it’s right for you and your family. We look forward to meeting you!
