Crisis Nursery helps mom in labour

Published Thursday, April 13, 2017

Spring symbolizes renewal and new life. This mom got the support she needed bringing in her family’s newest life!

“When I emigrated from China to Calgary with my husband and two children (3 and 7), I was seven months pregnant. When I went into labour a few months later, my husband and I had to race to the hospital, but we had no one to look after our children during my long labour. We didn’t know anyone in Calgary to look after them, take them to school, feed them and make sure they went to bed on time while both of us were away.

“We were guided to the Crisis Nursery, where our two kids had a fun, two-night sleepover while my husband and I brought a new life into this world. We loved the positive energy the people at the Crisis Nursery carried in their personalities. We were so happy for the quality care, the attention to detail along with the ‘at-home’ atmosphere that our children got to enjoy during their stay. We knew they were in good, capable hands.”

“We express our sincere gratitude to your positive and constructive role in helping families. Our family will do all it can to help support the noble mission of the Children’s Cottage Society.”
