Children’s Cottage Society Opens Family Mental Wellness Hub to Support Early Intervention for Families
May 14, 2025 | Calgary, AB
Children’s Cottage Society officially opened the doors to its new Family Mental Wellness Hub, a dedicated space focused on early intervention and mental health support for children and families. Located on the third floor of the Child & Family Centre in Montgomery, this innovative hub offers trauma-informed, culturally safe care before a crisis occurs, supporting families when and where they need it most.
The invite-only celebration brought together agency partners, volunteers, donors, and dignitaries to mark this important milestone.
A Ribbon Cut with Purpose
The event included a brief program, guided tours of the new space, and a ribbon cutting with special guest Mayor Jyoti Gondek, who helped officially open the Hub alongside CEO Danielle Ladouceur and several children in attendance.
Her presence underscored the City’s shared commitment to upstream, community-based mental health care.
Guests explored the thoughtfully designed space, including private rooms for therapeutic sessions, family-friendly common areas, and wellness-focused design elements that reflect comfort and care. Refreshments and conversation followed the program, providing an opportunity for connection and reflection.
