Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Children’s Cottage Society had to send home its many volunteers who help out at the Crisis Nursery and Brenda’s House. Which means there were fewer hands making meals in the kitchen, sorting donations, assisting with programs or entertaining the little ones at the nursery.

Over the past decade, the Children's Cottage Society crisis nursery has had to turn away more families than it was able to help because of a lack of space and resources. Amidst a pandemic, kids from a Calgary daycare and school opened their hearts and stepped up their fundraising goal to donate an incredible amount of money to Children's Cottage Society.
